Basketball Recap: Shenandoah Valley Comes Up Short

Shenandoah Valley lost against Weatherly back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils took a 52-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Weatherly. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Weatherly's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ian Mckeegan led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Mckeegan's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Corbin Wagner, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 11 points.

Shenandoah Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Weatherly, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Shenandoah Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Schuylkill Haven at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Schuylkill Haven has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Weatherly, they will venture away from home to take on Our Lady of Lourdes Regional at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Weatherly is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.2 points per game this season.
