Basketball Recap: River Dell Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Aditya Pandya and David Nunez

River Dell lost against Westwood back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The River Dell Golden Hawks fell 60-53 to the Westwood Cardinals. The Golden Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

River Dell's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of David Nunez, who went 6 for 15 en route to 18 points and five assists, and Aditya Pandya, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Brunner, who posted ten points.

River Dell's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Westwood, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-7.

Coming up, River Dell will head out on the road to challenge Passaic Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Westwood, they will be taking part in a tournament against Dwight Morrow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Dwight Morrow's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten matches.
