Baseball Recap: Como Park Takes a Loss

If Como Park was riding high fresh off their 20-6 takedown of Camden last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars came up short against the Brooklyn Center Centaurs on Friday, falling 11-1. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Centaurs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Como Park saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brendan Avant, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Como Park now has a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Como Park will challenge Washburn at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Brooklyn Center, they will take on Edison at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
