Basketball Recap: Natalie Gilbertson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Greybull

Shoshoni played in conference for the first time on Friday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 win over the Greybull Buffaloes. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wranglers have posted since December 15, 2023.

Shoshoni's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Natalie Gilbertson, who went 10-for-21 on her way to 25 points and five steals. The dominant performance gave Gilbertson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylor McConnaughey, who posted seven points along with nine assists and five boards.

Shoshoni's victory bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Greybull, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.

Shoshoni does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greybull, they and Big Horn will face off at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
