Basketball Recap: White Station Spartans vs. Memphis Central Warriors
The White Station Spartans were the 50-45 winner over the Memphis Central Warriors when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. White Station took a 46-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Thursday. White Station has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
White Station's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyndall Reynolds, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Zamiya Riley was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
White Station dropped their record down to 13-13 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Memphis Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which somehow isn't as good as their 13-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. White Station won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Memphis East is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games. As for Memphis Central, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd.
