Soccer Recap: Myrtle Beach Comes Up Short

Myrtle Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Academic Magnet Raptors. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Myrtle Beach couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Juan Rivera, who's now up to nine this season.

Myrtle Beach now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Academic Magnet, the win keeps they at an undefeated 13-0.

Looking ahead, Myrtle Beach will face off against North Myrtle Beach at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Myrtle Beach is facing North Myrtle Beach at the right time seeing as North Myrtle Beach is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Academic Magnet, they will host Andrews at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
