Softball Recap: Eastchester Eagles vs. Pelham Memorial Pelicans
Eastchester put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 15-2 margin over the Pelham Memorial Pelicans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Eastchester also won the last time the pair played last Tuesday.
Grace Comizio made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). Comizio was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with a home run and three runs.
In other batting news, Alyssa Peduto was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run, three runs, and two RBI. Sophia Gutirrez was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
