Baseball Game Preview: Capital Cougars vs. South Charleston Black Eagles

The Capital Cougars will face off against the South Charleston Black Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Capital's hitters haven't had much luck over their past four contests, but Monday's match will give them a chance to turn things around.

Capital managed to slip by Lincoln County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cougars lost 8-0 to the Panthers on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for South Charleston's offense. They came up short against Oak Hill on Thursday, falling 11-0.

South Charleston has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Capital, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

Capital might still be hurting after the 14-2 defeat they got from South Charleston when the teams last played back in March. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
