Football Game Preview: Pennington Red Hawks vs. Wyoming Seminary College Prep Blue Knights

The Pennington Red Hawks will head out on the road to take on the Wyoming Seminary College Prep Blue Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pennington has three straight victories, Wyoming Seminary College Prep has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Pennington lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Blair Academy, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's matchup. The Red Hawks blew past the Bucs, posting a 41-14 win. Given the Red Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Bucs are ranked 125th) , the win on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Wyoming Seminary College Prep's offense. They lost 20-0 to Kiski School on Saturday. Blue Knights fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Cougars since Saturday.

Pennington's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Wyoming Seminary College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Pennington came up short against Wyoming Seminary College Prep in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 19-14. Can the Red Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
