Pennfield had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Northwest on Wednesday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Mounties with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Pennfield got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 30-28, 25-13.

Pennfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 25-13-4 record this season. As for Northwest, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19-4.

Coincidentally, Pennfield and Northwest will both be playing Coldwater the next time they take the court. The Mounties will head out to face the Cardinals at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 11:30 a.m.
