For the first time this season, Union will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to square off against the Abingdon Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Union is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

Union hadn't beaten Honaker on the road since December 5, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Wednesday. The Bears really took it to the Tigers for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-26 win. The Bears pushed the score to 43-18 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers had little chance of recovering from.

Katelyn Witt had an outrageously good game as she went 12-for-22 en route to 25 points in addition to eight steals and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kynlee Johnson, who shot 50% from the field on her way to 13 points and five boards.

Union was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Honaker only posted six.

Meanwhile, Abingdon beat Christiansburg 64-55 on Saturday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Blue Demons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Union's record now sits at 3-0. As for Abingdon, their record is now 2-0.

Union came up short against Abingdon in their previous meeting back in February, falling 56-48. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
