Basketball Game Preview: Newton-Conover Red Devils vs. Draughn Wildcats

The Newton-Conover Red Devils will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Draughn Wildcats at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Newton-Conover is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Draughn. The Red Devils took their matchup last Friday with ease, bagging a 77-35 victory over the Wildcats. The Red Devils pushed the score to 51-27 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats had little chance of recovering from.

Braxton Eckard was nothing short of spectacular: he almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds. Bryce Mitchell was another key player, putting up eight points along with seven assists and five steals.

Everything came up roses for Newton-Conover against Draughn in their previous matchup last Friday, as the squad secured a 77-35 win. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
