Flag Football Recap: Tucker Takes a Loss

The Tucker Tigers ended up a good deal behind Denmark on Wednesday and lost 24-7. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia flag football rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Denmark are ranked 12th).

Zuri McCalpine threw for 96 yards and one touchdown. Selicia Edwards was her top target, picking up 42 receiving yards and one score.

Tucker's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Denmark, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coincidentally, Tucker and Denmark will both be playing Gainesville the next time they take the field. The Tigers will head out to face the Red Elephants at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Denmark will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
