Recap: West Laurens Raiders vs. Spalding Jaguars
The West Laurens Raiders lost against the Spalding Jaguars back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. West Laurens took a hard 51-37 fall against Spalding.
West Laurens' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tiara Johnson, who scored six points. Madelyn Ridgway was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
West Laurens' loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Spalding, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-7.
West Laurens will head out on the road to challenge Griffin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Griffin is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Spalding, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Howard at 6:00 p.m. Howard has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1.
