Volleyball Recap: St. Andrew's Beats Pflugerville for Their Fourth Straight Win

After losing to Pflugerville the last time they met, St. Andrew decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Highlanders walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Panthers on Tuesday. While the Highlanders didn't have the best season last year (they finished 15-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

St. Andrew's got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 33-31, 25-21, 25-23.

Josie Kastner paced St. Andrew's offense, picking up 13 kills. Kastner got some help from Tilly Streeter and her 22 assists. Holly Hornaday controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

The win was the fourth in a row for St. Andrew's, bringing their record up to 10-1. As for Pflugerville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Coming up, St. Andrew's will head out on the road to challenge Gateway College Preparatory at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pflugerville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Midland on the 21st.
