Softball Game Preview: Vista Grande Spartans vs. Mountain View Mountain Lions

For the second straight game, Vista Grande will face off against Mountain View. The Spartans will face off against the Mountain Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Vista Grande has given up an average of 8.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Vista Grande fell victim to Mountain View and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 16-0 to the Mountain Lions. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Mountain Lions: they've now lost three in a row.

For Mountain View's part, Arianna Figueroa made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Figueroa was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
