Softball Game Preview: Arlington Red Devils vs. Arcadia Redskins

Arlington hasn't had much luck against Arcadia recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Red Devils will take on the Redskins at 5:00 p.m. Arlington has given up an average of 11.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Saturday, Arlington came up short against Kalida and fell 19-14.

Meanwhile, while it was Arcadia who put the first runs on the board on Thursday, it was Hopewell-Loudon who put up more. The Redskins fell just short of the Chieftains by a score of 5-4. The Redskins have struggled against the Chieftains recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Alexis Carter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Arlington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Arcadia, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Arlington couldn't quite get it done against Arcadia when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-1. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
