Softball Recap: Sevastopol Pioneers vs. Sturgeon Bay Clippers        
        
		
            
 Sevastopol came into Thursday's   game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Sturgeon Bay Clippers  a   15-0 shutout  on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what Sevastopol needed considering they were shutout in their previous   match.
  Addison Schauske made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Schauske was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-4 with four  RBI and a  double.
 In other batting news,  Jolene Luedtke was a standout: she scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4.  Kayla Ranly was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.
 Sevastopol now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Sturgeon Bay, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with that  loss, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Sevastopol will take on Kewaunee at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Sturgeon Bay, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Algoma at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Algoma will roll in looking for their  eighth straight  victory, something Sturgeon Bay surely won't give up without a fight.
