Volleyball Recap: Owyhee Gets the Win

Owyhee won the last time they faced Wells and things went their way on Friday too. The Braves walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Leopards. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Braves.

Owyhee had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-12, 25-18, 25-23.

Makayla Estevan paced Owyhee's offense, picking up seven kills. Estevan got some help from Sierra Garity and her 18 assists. Paisley Crutcher controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Owyhee's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Wells, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Owyhee and Eureka will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wells, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against White Pine on the 11th.
