Soccer Recap: Peninsula Takes a Loss

Peninsula was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Saxons. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Saxons are ranked 42nd).

Peninsula's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-2. As for North, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peninsula will take on Torrance at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North, they will square off against West at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
