Recap: Islip Buccaneers vs. Kings Park Kingsmen
The Islip Buccaneers lost against the Kings Park Kingsmen back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Islip took a hard 48-34 fall against Kings Park. Islip has struggled against Kings Park recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Gianna Zawol was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten steals for Kings Park. Zawol has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last ten times she's played. Ryan Currier was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Islip's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Kings Park, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.
Islip will be playing at home against Miller Place at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Kings Park, they will head out on the road to challenge Harborfields at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Kings Park is coming into the game with four straight wins on the road, so Harborfields is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
