Recap: Hobart Brickies vs. Kankakee Valley Kougars
The Hobart Brickies were the 57-46 winner over the Kankakee Valley Kougars when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The matchup between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Hobart falling 51-32. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 257th, while Kankakee Valley is ranked 77th).
Despite the loss, Hobart saw an underclassman step up: Riley Weber scored 10 points along with 7 rebounds.
Hobart now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Kankakee Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hobart will face off against Andrean at 7:00 p.m. on December 16th. As for Kankakee Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Morgan Township at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Morgan Township will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
