It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Oaks Christian had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Camarillo Scorpions with a sharp 11-1 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their 12th in a row.

Sophia Debs made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Giabella Otani was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Reagan Beck was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.

Oaks Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Camarillo only posted a batting average of .235.

Oaks Christian pushed their record up to 21-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Camarillo, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-5.

Oaks Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 13-1 defeat against Norco on the 17th. Camarillo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
