Basketball Recap: Three Straight Home Victories for North Iredell

North Iredell lost to Foard back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The North Iredell Raiders came out on top against the Foard Tigers by a score of 56-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Despite the defeat, Foard saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jessica Bailey dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Bailey is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Gabby Sutcliffe was another key player, putting up eight points.

North Iredell pushed their record up to 12-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Foard, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

North Iredell and Foard should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. North Iredell (ranked 147th) will meet St. Stephens (ranked 316th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Foard will square off against West Iredell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 389 places (195 vs. 584).
