Basketball Recap: Evansville Memorial Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Evansville Memorial hadn't done well against Castle recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Evansville Memorial Tigers walked away with a 63-56 victory over the Castle Knights. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Evansville Memorial to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dylen Kendrick, who posted nine points along with six assists and four steals. Maxx Anslinger was another key player, going 6 for 8 on his way to 14 points.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aiden Meyer, who went 6 of 10 en route to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xander Niehaus, who had seven points in addition to six assists and five rebounds.

The win (which was Evansville Memorial's third in a row) raised their record to 10-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Castle, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
