Volleyball Recap: Alameda Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Alameda was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hinkley Thunder. The Pirates were not able to make up for their defeat to the Thunder from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-22, 20-25, 25-15, 25-20.

Jimena Casta?o Velasquez paced Alameda's offense, picking up seven kills. Casta?o Velasquez got some help from Camila Ortiz and her 11 assists. Ortiz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Jeralyn Navarro was the offensive standout of the match as she had 17 digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last eight matchups.

Alameda's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Hinkley, their record is now 12-4.

Alameda didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against The Pinnacle on the 2nd. As for Hinkley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Denver South on the 2nd.
