Zac Zimmerman Delivers Electric Performance Vs Belle Plaine

Starting off the list is Trinity Academy's Zac Zimmerman, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Zimmerman threw for 413 yards and four touchdowns while completing 78.3% of his passes. His passing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 320 passing yards.

This year, Zimmerman has thrown 18 touchdowns (and and only 2 picks) while averaging 353.4 passing yards per game.

Conway Springs Wins 16th-Straight Thanks to Isaac Winter

Conway Springs picked up their 16th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Isaac Winter. Winter turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 163 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 69 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Trinity had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Winter it was a similar story. Winter rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries the last time he and the Celtics duked it out back in October of 2023.

Big Game from Ruiz As Medicine Lodge Fell 33-26

Medicine Lodge had to settle for second on Friday, but Keveon Ruiz sure wasn't going down easily. Ruiz turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 71 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 129 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making two total tackles and defending two passes.

For the season, Ruiz has thrown 9 touchdowns while averaging 173 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after four games last season, he had five passing touchdowns.

Seth Dugan Delivers Best Performance of Season

Seth Dugan produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Garden Plain to the win on Friday. Dugan rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 35 receiving yards and a touchdown. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023.

Garden Plain now has a winning record of 3-2. It'll be Battle of the Birds when Owls faces off against Kingman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
