Volleyball Recap: Rockford Auburn's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Rockford Auburn came into Tuesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Belvidere Bucs on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in March.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Rockford Auburn took both sets by at least 16 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-9.

Abraham Albino paced Rockford Auburn's offense, picking up five kills. Albino got some help from Jourdain Jimenez Montes and his nine assists. Conner Hawkins controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Rockford Auburn pushed their record up to 13-12 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Belvidere, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-17.
