Softball Game Preview: Palmyra Panthers vs. Riverside Rams

Palmyra is 2-7 against Riverside since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Rams at 10:00 a.m. Both teams are still undefeated after three games, but that won't be the case come Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Palmyra made easy work of Haddonfield and carried off a 13-4 victory.

Meanwhile, Riverside never let their opponents score on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Doane Academy as they made off with a 17-0 win. Fans of the Rams have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Riverside's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Palmyra, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-0.

Palmyra suffered a grim 15-4 defeat to Riverside in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
