Softball Game Preview: Red Bay Tigers vs. Belgreen Bulldogs

The Red Bay Tigers will square off against the Belgreen Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Red Bay has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with 14 straight losses, while Belgreen will come in with five straight victories.

Red Bay came into this matchup off a tough 13-run defeat last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Tharptown by a score of 6-4 last Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered against the Wildcats since March 25, 2024.

Meanwhile, Belgreen won against Tharptown last Saturday with two runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Bulldogs beat Lindsay Lane Christian Academy by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 2-1.

Belgreen's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Shaylyn Bryant, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI. That RBI was Bryant's first of the season.

Belgreen's victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Red Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.
