Football Recap: El Capitan Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win + How To Watch

El Capitan hadn't beaten West Hills on the road since September 21, 2018 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Vaqueros walked away with a 16-3 victory over the Wolf Pack. The win was familiar territory for the Vaqueros, who have now won four contests in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead El Capitan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brody Copp, who rushed for 72 yards and one touchdown. Those 72 rushing yards gave Copp a new career-high.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something El Capitan proved: they limited West Hills to a paltry 1.7 yards per carry. While two picked up at least nine total tackles, Brewin Ford stood above the rest. He made nine total tackles (1.0 for loss). El Capitan's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 3.53 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 5.73 on average over their last five games.

El Capitan's record now sits at 4-2. As for West Hills, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

El Capitan and West Hills will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Vaqueros will challenge rival Steele Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, West Hills is set to square off against their familiar foe Monte Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
