Biglerville extended their winning streak to six on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 13-4 in the process. They blew past the Fairfield Knights 17-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-3 on Tuesday.
Leah Strawsburg was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Rylie Brewer also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Biglerville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .704. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fairfield only posted an OBP of .357.
As for Fairfield, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
On Fairfield's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Welch, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Welch is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Biglerville will head out to challenge Gettysburg at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Fairfield, they will square off against Newport at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
