Baseball Recap: St. Dominic Comes Up Short

St. Dominic couldn't beat St. Anthony on Wednesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Bayhawks fell just short of the Friars by a score of 10-8. The defeat continues a trend for the Bayhawks in their meetings with the Friars: they've now lost three in a row.

Dylan Weinstein made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Muccia, who went 3-for-5 with one run and one double.

St. Dominic's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for St. Anthony's, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

Looking ahead, St. Dominic will square off against Bergen Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. St. Anthony's will be paying especially close attention to the Bayhawks' game: after the Bayhawks face off against the Crusaders, they'll take on St. Anthony's again at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
