Softball Recap: Muleshoe Takes a Loss

Muleshoe lost against Levelland last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Muleshoe Mules might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-1 to the Levelland Lobos, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Mules have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Muleshoe saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Ortega, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Muleshoe's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Levelland, they pushed their record up to 9-0-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Muleshoe will be taking part in a tournament against Post at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Levelland, they will welcome Richland at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Richland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
