St. Joseph-Ogden hadn't done well against St. Thomas More recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Spartans had just enough and edged out the Sabers 2-1. This was payback for the Spartans, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day St. Joseph-Ogden got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-19.

St. Joseph-Ogden has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-18 record this season. As for St. Thomas More, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 22-12.
