Basketball Recap: Watersmeet Comes Up Short

Watersmeet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Dollar Bay Bays 58-19. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bays this season, with their most recent loss being a 63-33 defeat last Tuesday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dollar Bay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Macy Jurgensen, who almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds. Jurgensen is becoming a predictor of Dollar Bay's success: when she posts at least 15 points the team is 2-1 (and 6-10 when she doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Kiera Isaacson, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 boards.

Watersmeet's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Dollar Bay, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.

Watersmeet does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dollar Bay, they will face off against Ontonagon at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
