Volleyball Recap: Walled Lake Northern Falls to Saline in First Game of Season

Walled Lake Northern unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 2-0 to the Saline Hornets on Saturday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-8.

Leading Saline to victory were Quinn Burns and Noah Gregory. Burns had six aces and three digs, while Gregory had five aces and two assists. That's the most aces Burns has posted since back in May of 2024.

The victory keeps Saline at an undefeated 4-0.

Walled Lake Northern will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Walled Lake Central at 6:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Saline, they have already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Adams on the 5th.
