Softball Recap: Palmyra-Eagle Wins Going Away Against Williams Bay

Palmyra-Eagle barely beat Williams Bay the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Bulldogs on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won nine in a row.

Presley Koss and Briahna Covarrubias did most of the damage at the plate: Koss went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double, while Covarrubias went 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Covarrubias has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn West, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI and one double.

Palmyra-Eagle always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Williams Bay only posted an OBP of .238.

Palmyra-Eagle's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Williams Bay, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
