Basketball Recap: Limestone Drops Highest Score of Season Against Delavan

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Limestone). They claimed a resounding 79-52 victory over the Delavan Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Rockets have posted since November 29, 2024.

Loss or not, Delavan got some senior leadership from Bryson Horning and Kelton Nafzinger. Horning went 13-for-19 en route to 30 points, while Nafzinger almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Horning has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Grady Burrell, who posted seven points.

The victory made it two in a row for Limestone and bumps their season record up to 13-15. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points over those games. As for Delavan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-18.

Limestone has already played their next contest (against Canton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Delavan, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers take on the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
