Softball Recap: Agoura Comes Up Short

Agoura and Ganesha squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Agoura had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Giants by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Chargers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Chaden Chatelain spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Agoura's loss dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Ganesha, the win was the 20th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-4-1.

Agoura does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ganesha, they will challenge Millikan at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Giants 1.5, the Rams 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
