Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bayside). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Eau Gallie Commodores 66-29. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Bayside's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emilia Grant, who went 8 of 14 en route to 19 points along with six rebounds and six steals. With that strong performance, Grant is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelina Spence, who posted ten points and seven steals.

Bayside smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in nine consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Eau Gallie still got an impressive performance from Myli Harpold, who put up ten points and six boards. The dominant performance gave Harpold a new career-high in rebounds. Brooke Samler also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Bayside's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-7. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.8 points per game. As for Eau Gallie, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-15.

Bayside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-39 win against Viera on the 6th. Eau Gallie has also already played their next matchup, a 42-37 victory against Titusville on the 4th.
