Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stone Bridge). They walked away with an 82-70 win over Independence on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 68-66 back in January.

Stone Bridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kevin Reyes out in front who went 7-for-17 en route to 20 points and three steals. Mark Lawrence was another key player, going 6-for-10 to rack up 17 points.

When it comes to explaining why Independence lost, don't look at Abhay Grewal. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 30 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Grewal a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Mason Ogburn, who posted 14 points and five assists.

Stone Bridge now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Independence, their record is now 5-15.

Stone Bridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 67-65 defeat against Potomac Falls on the 10th. As for Independence, they have also already played their next contest, an 80-59 loss against Riverside on the 10th.
