Baseball Game Preview: Alief Taylor Lions vs. Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos

The Alief Taylor Lions will challenge the Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Alief Taylor is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 15th straight game dating back to last season two weeks ago. They lost 20-8 to Fort Bend Bush.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Bend Marshall). They walked away with a 15-10 victory over Fort Bend Willowridge on Friday. That's two games straight that the Buffalos have won by exactly five runs.

Fort Bend Marshall got a massive performance out of Jeremiah Mitchell, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Mitchell also put up two hits, which were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kobe Brown, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Fort Bend Marshall always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Fort Bend Marshall's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Alief Taylor, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Alief Taylor couldn't quite finish off Fort Bend Marshall when the teams last played back in February and fell 2-0. Can Alief Taylor avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
