It was a good run, but Victory Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Marquette Catholic Blazers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lions have suffered since August 25th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14, 25-18.

Elle Thomae paced Victory Christian Academy's offense, picking up four kills. Thomae got some help from Ava Buckland and her 13 assists. Finally, Buckland was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Victory Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Marquette Catholic, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
