Softball Preview: Spring Creek Spartans vs. Elko Indians
Spring Creek is 2-8 against Elko since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Spring Creek will be playing at home against Elko at 3:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Spring Creek is headed into the contest having just posted their closest win since April 12, 2024 on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Dayton, sneaking past 5-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.
Ava Cauley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Cauley was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
