Basketball Recap: Urbana Takes a Loss

Urbana saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 40-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chicago Marshall Commandos. The match marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Urbana lost, don't look at Jesse Mfwamba. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points. Jaylen McElmurry was another key player, putting up seven points.

This is the second loss in a row for Urbana and nudges their season record down to 7-11. As for Chicago Marshall, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.

Urbana has already played their next game, a 73-44 loss against Chicago Mt. Carmel on the 6th. As for Chicago Marshall, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 62-53 defeat against Lindblom on the 4th.
