Basketball Recap: Hertford County Takes a Loss

Hertford County lost against Washington back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bears took a blow against the Pam Pack, falling 86-39.

Despite the loss, Hertford County still got an impressive performance from Jalen Palmer, who posted eight points.

Chaise Smith was nothing short of spectacular for Washington: he almost dropped a double-double with 29 points and nine assists. The game was Smith's sixth in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Shimere Garris, who scored 22 points.

Hertford County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Washington, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Hertford County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 56-41 victory against Cape Hatteras on the 3rd. As for Washington, they will face off against Goldsboro at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
