Lamar has gone a perfect 10-0 against Bellaire recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Texans are taking a road trip to square off against the Cardinals at 12:00 p.m. One thing working in Lamar's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last five matchups.
Lamar is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Heights: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Texans blew the Bulldogs out of the water with a 43-10 final score. The result was nothing new for the Texans, who have now won five games by 31 points or more so far this season.

Jayden Robins was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 85 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 110 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Lamar's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise. Deverick Stone-Hubbard helped out on the ground, rushing for 104 yards and a rushing touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lamar was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 326 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
Lamar's defense stepped up as well, laying out Kobe Miles five times. Heights' QB won't forget Martin Davis-Wheatfall anytime soon given he sacked him 2.5 times. Davis-Wheatfall is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as he's now posted at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Bellaire's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were dealt a 45-0 defeat at the hands of Heights. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Cardinals were not able to get on the board.
Lamar's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.7 points over those games. As for Bellaire, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-3.
Everything came up roses for Lamar against Bellaire in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 42-14 victory. In that contest, the Texans amassed a halftime lead of 35-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
