Basketball Recap: Houston HomeSchool Comes Up Short

Houston HomeSchool suffered their biggest loss since November 15, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against the Texas Lions HomeSchool Lions, falling 71-51. The match marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Texas Lions HomeSchool's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was LJ Clark, who went 10 for 14 en route to 25 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Clark is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Karsen Ramsey, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Houston HomeSchool and nudges their season record down to 17-5. As for Texas Lions HomeSchool, they moved to 27-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Houston HomeSchool wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 77-72 win against Tournament Opponent on the 17th. As for Texas Lions HomeSchool, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-57 defeat against Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes on the 17th.
