Cross barely beat Andrew Jackson Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Stingrays were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Warriors on Monday. Considering the Stingrays have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Ryan Mayers made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Cross got a massive performance out of Sydney Hollings, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Hollings is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alaysia Hollings, who went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.

Cross kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory was the third in a row for Cross, bringing their record up to 13-7. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Looking ahead, Cross will head out on the road to face off against Dorchester Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Stingrays' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 11 runs per game this season. Andrew Jackson Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
